Ambassadors of Nature use the Bloom's Taxonomy with each program to help educate students. We have developed our programs to enhance the Florida standards. This page will help you better understand our goals for students. If you have specific goal for your students email us and let us know so we can adapt our program to fit your needs.

3rd - 5th Grade
Food Chain
At the end of the program students should be able to define the following vocabulary words: predator, prey, decomposer, food chain, carnivore, herbivore, omnivore and producer. Teacher picked students will be able to illustrate a predator and prey relationship. Students will be able to differentiate between the animals using the programs vocabulary words. Together we will evaluate the roles each animal plays within the food chain. We will play the food chain game where students will be given identities, producer, prey, predator and decomposer, students will then form their own food chain.
Ecosystems
At the end of the program students should be able to define the following vocabulary words: ecosystem, habitat, organisms, community and keystone species. Teacher picked students will be able to illustrate a habitat. Students will be able to differentiate between the animals using the programs vocabulary words. Together we will evaluate the roles each animal plays within each ecosystem.
Adaptations
At the end of the program students should be able to define the following vocabulary words: adaptations, camouflage, predator, prey . Students will be able to differentiate between the animals using the programs vocabulary words. Selected students will race against each other in a fun game using different 'beaks' to gather items. After, as a group, we will discuss which beaks worked best for which items and why. Together we will evaluate how unique adaptations help different species survive.
Conservation
At the end of the program students should be able to define the following vocabulary words: habitat, pollution, conservation and recycle. Students will be able to evaluate humans impact on the environment. Together we will discuss the 4 "R's"- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Respect.
6th - 9th Grade
Food Chain
At the end of the program students should be able to define the following vocabulary words: decomposer, food chain, carnivore, herbivore, omnivore, producer, and consumer. Students will be able to differentiate between the animals using the programs vocabulary words. Together we will evaluate the roles each animal plays within the food chain.
Ecosystems
At the end of the program students should be able to define the following vocabulary words: ecosystem, habitat, organisms, community, biotic, abiotic and keystone species. Students will be able to differentiate between the animals using the programs vocabulary words. Together we will evaluate the roles each animal plays within each ecosystem.
Adaptations
At the end of the program students should be able to define the following vocabulary words: adaptations, camouflage, evolution, natural selection.
At the end of the program students should be able to define the following vocabulary words: habitat, pollution, conservation, habitat fragmentation, poacher, sustainable and recycle. Students will be able to evaluate humans impact on the environment. Together we will discuss the 4 "R's"- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Respect.
